Do I need previous equine bodywork experience to enroll?

No. The Equine Bodywork Professional Certification Bundle is designed to build your knowledge progressively, beginning with foundational concepts and developing into more advanced hands-on techniques. Previous professional bodywork experience is not required, although you will need regular access to horses to complete practical assignments and case studies.

What courses are included in the program?

Your enrollment includes six courses: Equine Massage Certification, Equine Craniosacral Therapy Certification, Equine Kinesiology Taping Certification, Animal Neuromyofascial Release (ANMR) Certification, Creating Flow, and Business 101.

Together, these courses provide a diverse foundation in hands-on equine bodywork as well as practitioner and business development.

Is the program completely online?

Yes. The educational portion of the program is completed online and at your own pace, allowing you to study from wherever you live. Because this is professional hands-on training, you will also practice techniques on horses and complete the practical assignments, videos, and case studies required within the individual certification courses.

Will I receive a certification when I complete the program?

You can earn multiple professional certifications, rather than receiving only one general certificate for completing the program. Each certification course (massage, craniosacral therapy, kinesiology taping and ANMR) has its own educational and practical requirements that must be successfully completed. This allows you to graduate with credentials in multiple complementary equine bodywork modalities.

Professional Equine Education

Equine Bodywork Professional Certification Bundle

The Equine Bodywork Professional Certification Bundle is designed for students who want to build a strong, diverse foundation in professional equine bodywork rather than learning just one modality.

This comprehensive program brings together six complementary courses—Equine Massage, Equine Craniosacral Therapy, Equine Kinesiology Taping, Animal Neuromyofascial Release (ANMR), Creating Flow, and Business 101—to help you develop both your hands-on skills and the professional foundation needed to work with clients.

Build a Broader Professional Toolbox

Throughout your training, you’ll explore equine anatomy, palpation, massage and soft-tissue techniques, craniosacral work, kinesiology taping, neuromyofascial techniques, movement and body awareness, practitioner-animal connection, and professional practice.

Most importantly, you’ll begin learning to look beyond a single technique and consider the individual horse in front of you.

Flexible Online Learning with Hands-On Experience

The program combines online, self-paced education with hands-on practical work, assignments, case studies, and instructor feedback, allowing you to develop your skills while working with real horses.

A Broader Approach to Bodywork

Horses Don't Arrive Labeled With the Modality They Need

One horse may present with muscular tension. Another may show compensatory movement patterns. Another may respond best to subtle fascial or craniosacral work. And sometimes what you discover through palpation and observation changes your original plan entirely.

That's why we believe professional bodyworkers benefit from learning more than one approach.

Rather than simply memorizing techniques, you'll develop a broader toolbox and learn to observe the horse, palpate the tissues, recognize patterns, consider the whole animal, and make thoughtful decisions about the work you provide.

The goal isn't to use every modality on every horse. It's to understand when—and why—you might choose one approach over another.

Find Your Path

Is This Program Right for You?

You don't need to already be an equine bodyworker to begin. This program is designed for people at different stages of their professional journey—from experienced horse people exploring a new career to established practitioners ready to expand their skills.

Professional equine bodywork education and hands-on training
01

Aspiring Equine Bodyworkers

If you're ready to turn your passion for horses into professional skills, this program gives you a structured foundation in several complementary equine bodywork modalities.

02

Horse Owners & Experienced Equestrians

Years spent around horses can provide valuable experience. This program helps you build upon that background with structured education in anatomy, palpation, assessment, bodywork, and professional practice.

03

Equine Professionals

Trainers, barn professionals, rehabilitation professionals, saddle fitters, veterinary support professionals, and others working in the equine industry can develop additional hands-on skills and a deeper understanding of the horse's body.

04

Existing Animal Bodyworkers

Already practicing massage or another animal wellness modality? Expand your professional toolbox with additional techniques and complementary approaches to equine bodywork.

What Do You Need to Get Started?

No previous professional bodywork experience is required. Your training begins with foundational education and progresses as you develop your knowledge and practical skills.

Because this is hands-on professional education, you will need regular access to horses for practice and required practical work. You do not need to own a horse—you simply need reliable access to appropriate horses as you progress through your training.

You don't have to know everything before you begin.

You need a willingness to learn, access to horses, and a desire to develop the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to work with them thoughtfully and professionally.

Student Success Story

How One Horse Turned Into Eight

See how Anna Keever used her equine bodywork education to help horses, build trust, and begin growing her professional practice.

In this student testimonial, Anna Keever shares how her training in Equine Massage, Equine Kinesiology Taping, and Equine Craniosacral Therapy helped transform not only the way she works with horses, but also the opportunities she began receiving as a practitioner.

After Anna began applying her new skills with one horse at a local barn, the horse's owner was pleased with the experience and word began to spread.

What began with one horse grew into eight regular equine clients at the same barn.

Anna's experience illustrates something important about building an equine bodywork practice: developing your hands-on skills is only part of the journey. When horse owners see the care you put into your work and value the experience you provide their horses, those relationships can lead to referrals and new opportunities.

Why Anna's Story Matters

Anna didn't limit her education to a single technique. By studying massage, kinesiology taping, and craniosacral therapy, she began developing a broader bodywork toolbox that allows her to approach each horse as an individual.

That same philosophy is at the heart of the Equine Bodywork Professional Certification Bundle: giving students exposure to complementary modalities while developing the knowledge, practical skills, and professional foundation needed to begin working with horses and their owners.

Your first horse may be the beginning of something much bigger.

Build your skills. Gain hands-on experience. Develop your professional toolbox.

Meet Dr. Angel

“My goal has never been to simply teach techniques. I want students to understand the animal beneath their hands—so they can recognize what they are feeling, understand why it matters, and make thoughtful choices about the work they provide.”
— Dr. Angelique Barbara

Dr. Angelique Barbara, MS, DC, is the founder of Holistic Animal Studies and brings a unique multidisciplinary perspective to animal bodywork education. With an academic background in Veterinary Science, Veterinary Pathobiology, and Chiropractic, along with a lifetime of hands-on experience with horses and other animals, Dr. Angel approaches bodywork through the lens of anatomy, biomechanics, movement, compensation, and whole-animal wellness. She is also the developer of Animal Neuromyofascial Release (ANMR) and has created numerous professional certification programs for animal practitioners. Her teaching philosophy goes beyond memorizing techniques, emphasizing palpation, observation, critical thinking, and understanding how different modalities can be thoughtfully integrated for the individual animal.
