Do I need previous equine bodywork experience to enroll?

No. The Equine Bodywork Professional Certification Bundle is designed to build your knowledge progressively, beginning with foundational concepts and developing into more advanced hands-on techniques. Previous professional bodywork experience is not required, although you will need regular access to horses to complete practical assignments and case studies.

What courses are included in the program?

Your enrollment includes six courses: Equine Massage Certification, Equine Craniosacral Therapy Certification, Equine Kinesiology Taping Certification, Animal Neuromyofascial Release (ANMR) Certification, Creating Flow, and Business 101.

Eligible to Pursue IAHAP Board Certification

Students who successfully complete the applicable Holistic Animal Studies equine bodywork training meet the educational requirements to apply to sit for the IAHAP Equine Bodywork Board Examination. Passing the independent IAHAP board examination provides graduates with an additional opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and pursue professional board certification.

Completion of a Holistic Animal Studies certification and IAHAP board certification are separate credentials. IAHAP maintains its own application, examination, fee, and passing requirements.

Dr. Angelique Barbara, MS, DC, is the founder of Holistic Animal Studies and brings a unique multidisciplinary perspective to animal bodywork education. With an academic background in Veterinary Science, Veterinary Pathobiology, and Chiropractic, along with a lifetime of hands-on experience with horses and other animals, Dr. Angel approaches bodywork through the lens of anatomy, biomechanics, movement, compensation, and whole-animal wellness. She is also the developer of Animal Neuromyofascial Release (ANMR) and has created numerous professional certification programs for animal practitioners. Her teaching philosophy goes beyond memorizing techniques, emphasizing palpation, observation, critical thinking, and understanding how different modalities can be thoughtfully integrated for the individual animal.
